Continuing Your Legacy Through PCS
Have you ever thought, ‘how do I make a lasting impact on my community?’ Here at PCS, we believe you can make an impact by investing in organizations working to better the community.
Donors who plan long-term contributions to Personal Counseling Services, Inc. benefit the over 14,000 community individuals and families that come through our doors each year. Long-term gifts allow PCS to sustain itself regardless of changes in funding or client needs. We rely on generous donors like you to help keep us going and continuing to serve individuals who may not have access to mental healthcare elsewhere. We truly believe that healthy minds make up a healthy community and we would love for you to be a partner with us in that mission.
For more information on the different types of giving options, please continue scrolling. Planned gifts typically come from a donor’s assets (i.e. life insurance, retirement accounts, investments, and/or stocks) rather than income, and can be made immediately or in the future. It is recommended that donors consult with their tax or legal advisor prior to making a planned gift. Please contact Doug Drake, President and CEO, at dd****@pc************.org 812-206-4273 if you have made or are interested in making a planned gift to PCS.
Charitable Bequests from a Donor's Will or Trust
A charitable bequest is one of the easiest ways you can leave a lasting impact on PCS. A bequest may be made in your will or trust directing a gift to Personal Counseling Service, Inc.
Specific Bequest
A specific bequest gives a specific item or specific piece of property to PCS. These bequests are fulfilled first, before other kinds of bequests. If you dispose of the specified property during your lifetime, there will be no bequest.
Cash Bequest
A cash bequest provides PCS with a specified sum of money from a donor’s estate.
Percentage Bequest
A percentage bequest provides PCS with a specified percentage of a donor’s estate.
Residuary Bequest
A residuary bequest is made from what remains of a donor’s estate after other bequests and all taxes, settlement costs and debts are satisfied. This type of bequest is sensitive to changes in the size of an estate over time.
Beneficiary Designation Gifts (Life Insurance Policy or Retirement, Investment, or Bank Account)
A beneficiary designation gift is another way to make a gift to support PCS. You can designate us as a beneficiary of a retirement, investment or bank account or your life insurance policy. This type of gift is simple way to continue supporting causes you care about and to simplify your planning. You can also receive an estate tax charitable deduction and can continue using your account as long as you need to. To make this kind of gift, contact the person who helps with your account or insurance policy, such as a broke, banker or insurance agent. This is among the most flexible of charitable gifts, because you can still use your accounts freely and can change your mind at any point for any reason.
